Ever play the video game Frogger ?


The plot's pretty simple...
hop a frog across a busy highway without getting him mooshed.

 In Anderson, South Carolina, a Clemson man was hit by an SUV Tuesday,
while attempting to demonstrate the - oh, so complicated premise of the game
to a bystanding friend.

 The Police Chief of Anderson said that the 23 year old man yelled "GO"
before darting into traffic and being slammed by the Lexus SUV.

 Far be it from me to point out just how stupid a person you have to be
to do this.

 Far be it from me to say how proud his parents must be for having raised a
son with such exquisite judgment.

 Far be it from me to wonder out loud why such a stupid lout wasn't charged
with reckless obnoxiousness or criminal stupidity.

 Far be it from me to take notice of just how lousy a Frogger player this guy
really must be.

 The Police Chief did make a point of stressing that the individual in question
was NOT a student at Clemson University.



 


 While we're talking about video games.....

 This Pennsylvania man, 37 year old Jody Bennett, was arrested yesterday on charges
that, while attending the viewing of a 17 year old teenager killed in a tragic car crash
on Christmas Day, he swiped two of the teen's hand-held video games out of the casket ,
along with three game cartridges.

 What a great humanitarian this guy must be.

 I guess he figured the kid wasn't gonna use it anymore....

 Oh nice.





 A lady who threw herself a "Nurse of the Year" party has earned herself
almost a year's all expense-paid trip to the slammer ----

Betty Ann Litchenstein, 57, of Norwalk, Connecticut had been practicing as a nurse in a Doctor's office -- giving medical advice, dispensing prescriptions, administering shots, etc....

 Apparently, she had spent $20,000 to throw a "Nurse of the Year" party for herself... and got the Doctor who she ended up working for to give the keynote address.... that testimonial dinner was enough to convince the Doctor that she was qualified.

 Heaven forbid you'd check that kinda stuff.

 She has had no medical training.

 She would, however, be well qualified to sell real estate, stock shares, used cars, or stuff on television --- once she gets outta the slammer, that is.







 And if that ain't a good segue to this last story, it's just cause I can't come up with
another one.....

 A High Priest of a traditional African religion held a ceremony in Miami recently....
.... instructing his disciples that they could be 'healed' through the ingestion of mucus
from a Giant African Snail.

 Of those consuming the slimy solution, several got so sick they had to be rushed
to the hospital, complaining of violent nausea and strange developing lumps on their
stomachs. 

 ( the mind boggles.... )

 Asked about it, the Priest, Charles Stewart, said " I don't mean no harm ".

 No charges have been filed, since it is not against Florida law to get stupid people
to poison themselves.
